Party Like It's 2020

For small (pandemic approved) parties, the Anker Soundcore Flare 2 is the perfect centerpiece. The long, 12-hour battery life makes sure it goes wherever the party goes. Plus, the PartyCast feature allows for multi-room, multi-group, and indoor/outdoor audio with 2 or more compatible Soundcore speakers.

Conclusion

Featuring Ankers signature high-quality audio, the Flare 2’s speaker setup provides 360 degree sound. The dual drivers are positioned back-to-back so there are almost no dead spots on any sides. Plus, the passive radiators produce a bass boost that makes the speaker sound twice as big.

When it comes to sound quality and portability, the closest competition (comparison) would be the JBL Flip 5. While it has almost identical audio specs, the Flare 2’s light display and lower price makes it the FAR better value.

To control all of the essential functions, the Soundcore app has everything you need. Adjust the lighting mode, light colors, EQ, volume, and more. This is also where you access the PartyCast feature that lets you link together up to 100 Flare 2’s (or other compatible Soundcore speakers) for multi-room and indoor/outdoor music.

The IPX7 water and dust resistance rating keeps it safe from water, spills, sand, and whatever else life can throw at it. The only thing that disappointed me is that it only comes in black or blue finishes. Other than that, the Flare 2 is easily one of the best Bluetooth speakers under $100, even without the light display.

Turn Up!!!

For larger parties or spaces, Anker also has some other great options. From the Flare+ all the way up to the Soundcore Rave, you’ll be able to pair any 2 in stereo mode or multiple for indoor/outdoor and multi-room music.

Besides being able to link 100+ compatible speakers together, the PartyCast app also allows you to control mic and instrument inputs so you can throw your own karaoke or open mic night. Have fun and good luck…
