HearID: Automatic ANC
Do you remember taking those hearing tests in school when you were a little kid? You went to the library, put on those weird-looking beige headphones, and had to indicate when you heard certain tones.
Well, the Liberty 3 Pro HearID sound test is performed the same way, and the result is a perfectly tailored active noise cancelling experience.
Plus, there’s no more switching between Transport, Indoor, and Outdoor ANC modes. Once you take the test, you’re locked in, and the auto ANC does the rest. Based on your environment, the HearID ANC technology adjusts the noise cancelling level in real-time.
On top of that, they upgraded the options in the Soundcore app to give you these handy manual adjustments:
ANC Modes
- High Level Mode
- Comfort Mode
Transparency Modes
- Fully Transparent
- Voice
- Vocal EnhancementT
Audio Quality
Like the Liberty 2 Pro, the Liberty 3 Pro feature some of the best audio quality in their class. In addition, the upgraded audio drivers allow you to enable LDAC codec for even better audio quality.
It’ll drain the power a little quicker, and you won’t have as good of a Bluetooth range. But, on the other hand, the sound quality is simply AMAZING.
Besides automatic active noise cancelling, the HearID mode also automatically adjusts the EQ. You still have the option to use Soundcore’s 20+ EQ presets or create your own custom presets. But with the HearID tailoring the ANC and the audio to your specific hearing ability creates an unmatched audio experience.
On-Ear Touch Controls
The touch controls are fully customizable via the Soundcore app. On the left and right earbuds, you can choose what each of these tap combinations does:
- Single Tap
- Double Tap
- Triple Tap
- Hold 2 seconds
Fit & Comfort
The thing I’ve always liked about Soundcore earbuds is that they typically have a very comfortable and secure fit. However, with the Soundcore Liberty 3 Pro, they took it to a new level.
First of all, you get 4 sets of liquid silicone ear tips and 4 sets of air-filled ear wings to achieve the perfect fit. They also redesigned the inner side of the earbuds to provide a triple-point ergonomic shape.
This type of design spreads out the pressure over a majority of your inner ear lobe for more comfortable all-day listening. The closest comparison I can make is JBL’s super-comfortable yet secure, Powerfin ear wing style on their workout earbuds.
The icing on the cake is the unique built-in structure that allows air to flow in and out freely. Besides relieving pressure, it also lets your ears breathe in a more natural way than most earbuds.
Luxury Options
As if all this wasn’t enough, one of the most exciting new features is the 3D surround sound (360° audio). Perfect for gaming and streaming, it’s an immersive experience that’s a rare premium feature on earbuds.
Even more unique is that their 360° audio is compatible on iPhone and many flagship Android phones. The AirPods Pro and Galaxy Buds Pro can’t say the same thing.
Another notable luxury is the Dual Connect feature that allows you to connect 2 sets of Soundcore Liberty 3 Pros to the same phone to share the audio.
Also part of the multipoint connection capability is pairing in the opposite way. Connect your earbuds to 2 devices to switch back and forth seamlessly from your phone to your workstation, tablet, or another Bluetooth audio source.
Conclusion
It may seem like a copout, but we couldn’t find anything about the Soundcore Liberty 3 Pro that we disliked enough to add to the “Cons” column. Their sound quality is amazing and they’re packed with luxury features.
With Soundcore’s best-in-class app, you have more control over your audio experience than any other set of earbuds we’ve tested. Plus, the improved ear tips and ear wings make them feel like tiny little pillows in your ears.
Combined with a “too good to be true” price starting at less than $170, the Soundcore Liberty 3 Pro are the best all-around set of wireless earbuds in the world.
